Additional Compensation

Before faculty agree to any undertaking for which they would receive additional compensation, they must confirm eligibility with the Office of Academic Affairs. The University rules on additional compensation can be viewed in the Faculty Handbook chapter on Compensation.

Addcomp Rules for Full-Time Faculty

  1. During the academic year faculty may earn up to 20% of their monthly base salary in additional compensation and may not earn more than 20% of monthly base salary in any given month.
  2. During the summer faculty may earn 3/9ths of monthly base salary which may be distributed as 1/9th in July, 1/9th in August, and 1/9th in June. The order of these months reflects the academic year, and as a result, June arrives at the end of the year.
