This extraordinary history is a cornerstone of American democracy, but the public knows so little about it – and very few people alive today have actually done it. Join us for an insightful one-hour virtual discussion on the complexities and challenges of presidential transitions, hosted by the Institute of Global Politics. Noah Kroloff served as Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Chief of Staff from 2009-2013 and advised the Homeland Security nominee as part of the Obama-Biden transition team. Max Stier is a renowned expert who has served in all three branches of the federal government and oversees the Center for Presidential Transition. Chad Sweet served in the CIA and at DHS, where he managed the Department's first-ever presidential transition.
