Through its various academic programs and initiatives, SIPA provides students, faculty, scholars, and practitioners with opportunities to study, research, discuss, debate, and offer solutions to current policy issues and challenges.

SIPA Public Policy Challenge Grant

The SIPA Public Policy Challenge Grant Program invites students to form teams to propose student-designed projects and prototypes that use ICTs and/or data analytics to solve global policy problems. The Program’s goal is to identify and support projects that have a high potential to be implemented and produce a meaningful impact on the target problem in relatively near term.

Tech & Policy @ SIPA

The Tech & Policy @ SIPA initiative is a global hub for policy-relevant research, training, and convening on cybersecurity, internet governance, and the digital economy.

Entrepreneurship & Policy @ SIPA

Entrepreneurship & Policy @ SIPA is the space in New York City and in the world where ideas and impact meet. Engaging scholars, entrepreneurs, and technology, the initiative explores avenues to shape policy in the public and private sector.

Central Banking and Financial Policy @ SIPA

Central Banking and Financial Policy @ SIPA brings together scholars, researchers, practitioners and central bankers from around the world in a unique collaborative effort to shed new light on how central banks and policy institutions can improve the functioning and stability of the global financial system.

Kent Global Leadership Program on Conflict Resolution

Launched in fall 2020, the Kent Global Leadership Program on Conflict Resolution helps prepare the next generation of global practitioners for the increasingly complex challenges posed by contemporary conflict.

Sustainable Investing Research Initiative 

The Sustainable Investing Research Initiative aims to foster cross-disciplinary scholarship, education, and dialogue on the interplay and interdependencies between investment and the most complex challenges facing our world.
