Munk School MGA and MPP Tuition and Fees

• Students pay tuition at the institution where they are in residence.
  Year One: Tuition is paid to the Munk School while enrolled in Toronto.
  Year Two: Tuition and fees are paid to Columbia SIPA during enrollment in New York
• Students must be enrolled in the Columbia University health insurance or have comparable coverage during the SIPA year.
• A one-time Document Fee and semesterly Health and Related Services Fee is charged by Columbia University during the first year at the partner school.

Financial Aid

• Dual degree students in the GPPN program receive a financial aid application in February for review ahead of the SIPA year.
• Funding is extremely limited, with typically fewer than 10% of students receiving support.
• Students planning to apply for U.S. federal financial aid should contact the SIPA Office of Financial Aid to initiate the process.

Program Structure

Students in the dual degree program complete their first year at the Munk School, followed by their second year at SIPA.
Degrees from both institutions are awarded only after all requirements at each school have been successfully completed.

Year One – The Munk School

Students complete all first-year coursework at the Munk School. Please visit the Munk School MGA or MPP curriculum page.

Year Two – SIPA

Students complete the SIPA MPA or MIA program, including remaining core requirements and concentration requirements:

General Degree Requirements

• Complete a minimum of 30 credits in residence
• Fulfill all SIPA core requirements
• Complete concentration requirements
• Attain a cumulative GPA of 3.0

Transfer & Course Sharing

• Approved first-year courses at the Munk School may satisfy specific SIPA core requirements.
• Students may also apply one course from the Munk School toward a SIPA concentration with approval from the relevant concentration office.
