For those veterans who are 100% eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill, SIPA offers Yellow Ribbon Scholarships. Amounts vary from one year to the next and can be impacted by students’ eligibility for other VA benefits, and the Yellow Ribbon Scholarships offered by SIPA are matched dollar-for-dollar by the VA. We cannot guarantee funding to every eligible student, but in recent years, virtually all who qualify have received this funding. The Office of Military and Veterans Affairs is committed to assisting students who have served in our military and their families. Their services include VA benefits certification.
SIPA also has arrangements with the Armed Forces to offer scholarship funding for Foreign Area Officers as well as those participating in the Advanced Civilian School, the Naval Postgrad School Program, and the Military Academy Leadership Program. Other benefits and financial aid used by veterans while enrolled at SIPA include:
- Montgomery GI Bill
- Vocational Rehabilitation
- Survivors and Dependents Assistance
- New York State Veterans Tuition Awards
- Pat Tillman Foundation Scholarships
Those who qualify for these benefits are also fully eligible to apply for SIPA scholarships and assistantships, as well as student loans and Work Study. We also encourage you to learn more about the SIPA Veterans Association.
