  • SIPA is required to establish a cost of attendance (COA) that reflects a moderate standard of living in the New York area for the nine-month academic year. However, students may encounter educational expenses not covered by the standard COA, such as the purchase of a personal computer or unreimbursed medical costs incurred during the academic year.

To address these additional expenses, students can request a review of their individual budget for potential adjustments to their COA. To request a budget adjustment, complete this application and submit with receipts and any relevant supporting documentation (e.g., a letter from an impartial third-party provider). Requests for budget adjustments are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and additional supporting documents may be required depending on the nature of the requested increase. Complete the form »
