Professor Almond's research focuses on health and environmental economics and has investigated the long-term health and human capital effects of the 1918 Influenza Pandemic.
Professor Barrett's research focuses on approaches for promoting global cooperation, including for the control and eradication of infectious diseases. He is a member of the World Health Organization's Strategic Advisory Group on Malaria Eradication.
