Spring 2026

This project was undertaken in partnership with AlphaMundi Foundation (AMF) to strengthen how the organization measures, structures, and communicates its impact, as it continues to support high-growth small and medium-sized enterprises. AMF initiated this collaboration to improve the traceability and communication of its impact pathways, with the broader goal of increasing its visibility and attractiveness to external stakeholders. Two primary objectives guided the work: first, to develop a baseline Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) framework with globally relevant metrics that can be applied consistently across AMF’s programs; and second, to design storytelling and impact reporting tools that translate data into a clear and compelling narrative for donors and partners.

As the project progressed, additional objectives were identified in collaboration with AMF and resulted in the development of an operational manual, including user guides for AMF staff, standardized reporting templates, a storytelling framework, and recommendations to strengthen SME engagement and follow-up processes.

Recognizing AMF’s current institutional capacity constraints, the Capstone team’s recommendations are structured in a phased manner, with actions spanning the immediate term, 1–2 years, and 3–5 years. This approach ensures that proposed solutions are both feasible in the short term and aligned with AMF’s longer-term ambition to strengthen its positioning and scale its impact.
