Semester

Spring 2008

Two pressing national issues—waste management and health insurance—are being tackled in partnership with the Pilipinas Shell Foundation, Inc. (PSFI) in the areas where Shell operates. PSFI is the manager and implementer of Royal Dutch Shell plc’s social investment programs in the Philippines. Through its social investment, Shell aims to improve the overall “social performance” of its programs. The objective of the workshop was to evaluate the effectiveness, sustainability, and replicability of two of Shell’s community based social performance programs in the Philippines: the Expanded Impok pang-Kalusugan (E-IpK) program and the Bawas Basura sa Barangay (Triple B) program.
