Student Leader Spotlight: Randall Schmollinger MIA ’24

Randall Schmollinger

Prior to coming to SIPA, Randall Schmollinger worked in AI research for IBM and software engineering at Revature Technologies, and previously worked for Josh Riley’s Congressional Campaign. He currently works at the Saltzman Institute of War and Peace Studies as a research assistant for Tamar Mitts developing data analysis algorithms that they will use to check for evidence of a rise in Islamophobia and antisemitism since the October 7 attacks.

Randalls Advice to SIPA students: “Be brave. The things most worth doing are often the things that scare us the most. You are at SIPA because you want to make the best of yourself. Don’t let fear hold you back from that.”
