Confronting Misinformation and Disinformation in the Global South

The SIPA Team was asked by their client, the UNDP Accelerator Labs Network, to construct a Portfolio of Solutions to address mis/disinformation in the Global South. The priority was to map the different interventions by the UNDP Accelerator Labs aiming to use local solutions to tackle the problem of online mis/disinformation in their own countries. This report includes recommendations on the role of the United Nations, the UNDP, and the UNDP Accelerator Labs Network in combating mis/disinformation in the Global South, as well as a toolkit for building effective partnerships and coordinating interventions to address mis/disinformation.
