Strategic Positioning for Global Independent Oil & Gas Companies
The overall objective of the project was to assist Afren Plc in designing its growth strategy and define its strategic position, with a strong geographical emphasis on the Middle East and East African markets.
The Capstone team focused first on an in-depth analysis of Afren core competencies and of the fundamentals of the East Africa and Middle East E&P markets. Building on this large overview, we started to develop a more specific country-by-country analysis in both regions. For each country, the E&P potential, the business environment and political risks were evaluated. This analysis gave us a strong base to discriminate on the geographical development potentials for Afren.
