The world is at a critical tipping point. Without effective policies and actionable solutions to combat climate change, sudden and irreversible changes to the Earth's climate system will lead to dire consequences for societies, altering life as we know it. In addition to a lens that is incorporated into our comprehensive leadership programs, the Picker Center has developed a number of executive programs focused on Climate, Energy, Sustainability, and Environmental policy. Our multi-disciplinary programs often include sessions on management, policy analysis, economics, finance, corporate social responsibility, impact investing, public/private partnerships, quantitative methods, and sustainable development.

Our programs benefit from the expertise of faculty affiliated with the Columbia Climate School, the Center for Environmental Economics and Policy, the Center on Global Energy Policy, and the Sustainable Investing Research Initiative, and instructors include sustainability experts and practitioners with experience at leading companies, international organizations, governmental agencies, and financial institutions. Courses combine lectures, case study analysis, interactive workshops, executive coaching, industry panels, action learning projects, and site visits in the New York City and Washington, D.C. areas, including to the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation and the Central Park Conservancy.
