The Twenty-first Century Water Commission Act of 2008 proposes a national strategy to address growing freshwater demand, pollution, and scarcity in the U.S. It establishes a commission to study water systems, improve management, encourage regional cooperation, and recommend technologies and policies to ensure safe, sustainable freshwater supplies.
