National Agency for Technological Development is a returning workshop client. In 2013-2014, the SIPA team partnered with NATD and the Ministry of Economy and Budget Planning to support Kazakhstan’s efforts to diversify their economy by promoting the development of small and medium sized business in the high-tech sector. The Kazakhstan government adopted several policy initiatives which aimed at stimulating the “green sector” of their economy. The team conducted an in-depth assessment of the current SMEs initiatives and laid out a framework that would enable Kazakhstan to significantly increase its economic growth and technology sector by 2050.
