Preservation of Antibiotics for Medical Treatment Act - Summer

Antibiotic resistance is increasing as overuse of antibiotics—especially in animal agriculture—promotes resistant bacteria. The Preservation of Antibiotics for Medical Treatment Act seeks to reduce this risk by regulating nontherapeutic antibiotic use in livestock and requiring safety reviews to ensure these drugs do not contribute to resistance affecting human health.
