Introducing Social and Emotional Learning Activities in Lao Primary Schools

Pencils of Promise (PoP) is a nonprofit organization that creates schools, programs, and global communities around the idea that every child should have access to quality education. PoP requested the assistance of a SIPA Workshop team to develop a Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) program to be introduced and piloted in Laos at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year. The team developed an Activity Guideline, designed to fit the Lao context, a presentation to explain the benefits of SEL to the Education Ministry, and recommendations to move forward with the pilot and implementation of an SEL curriculum for Laos.
