Data Sharing in Support of U.S. Counter-Terrorism Efforts
The Capstone team examined the current legislative and regulatory environment for data sharing in support of U.S. counter-terrorism efforts, assessing agency efforts and cultural obstacles to streamlined information integration. The report will contribute to a series of endeavors to advance information sharing efforts in order to prevent another 9/11. This assessment considers key obstacles currently impeding information sharing and provides an analysis of the progress made this in arena over the last decade provide. The study also includes a roadmap for the way forward toward better information integration within the U.S. Intelligence Community, as well with as federal, state and local law enforcement authorities.
