The Climate Change Adaptation Act proposed a federal strategy to help the U.S. adapt to climate change impacts, especially in vulnerable coastal areas. The plan centralizes expertise within NOAA, creates regional task forces, and coordinates partnerships to assess risks, allocate resources, and implement adaptation strategies during the program’s first year.
