Student Leader Spotlight: Krishna Kishore Pandalaneni
Krishna Kishore Pandalaneni is a second-year student at Columbia University with a background in the automotive sector, having worked in India and Japan. I hold both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering. My journey led me to SIPA with a desire to dive into fields where I can make a tangible impact on the people around me. Currently, I am interning at the United Nations Headquarters. My passion lies in bridging the gap between policy design and implementation using data-driven solutions to advance sustainable development and global equity.
Advice to SIPA students: Embrace the diversity of experiences at SIPA. Engage with different perspectives, take on leadership roles, and don’t shy away from challenges. Your time here is an opportunity to learn, grow, and make meaningful connections that will shape your future. SIPA is much more than just courses and GPAs. Attend events, participate in conferences, and take full advantage of being in New York City. The opportunities here are endless and once-in-a-lifetime, so make the most of this vibrant and dynamic environment. And finally, step out of your comfort zone—experience SIPA, experience Columbia, and experience New York.
