Adali Frias Deniz

Adalí Frias Deniz is a second-year MIA candidate at SIPA and a Fulbright Garcia-Robles Scholar. She was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. Prior to arriving at SIPA, she worked at the British Embassy in Mexico in the press and political section as a communications analyst. She has previously also worked for the Mexican Government and the US State Department. In addition, in 2018 she was selected by the Mexican Government to represent her country as a Youth Delegate at the United Nations, where she had the opportunity to speak on behalf of her country. Adalí is deeply passionate about the intersection between international affairs, communications, and the role mis/disinformation plays in policy decisions and human behavior. She is a self-proclaimed Pokémon Master and is obsessed with cats.

Advice to SIPA students: If you find yourself struggling at any point of your experience here at SIPA, please do not be afraid to ask for help from your fellow seeples, OSA deans, and professors. I learned that SIPA is a supportive community where finding solutions is not something exclusive to the classroom!
