Presidential Management Fellows Program Tabs 20 SIPA Students and Alumni for 2022

Congratulations to the 12 SIPA students and eight SIPA alumni selected to join the Presidential Management Fellows Class of 2022!

This year’s SIPA-affiliated finalists include current students Margaret Andersen MPA ’22, Sean Carlo Blanco MIA ’22, Nicholas Chun MIA ’22, Eli Clemens MIA ’22, Anna Mahowald MPA-ESP ’22, Nathan Marx MPA ’22, Nicholas Mut-Tracy MIA ’22, Govind Ramagopal MIA ’22, Julia Saunier MPA ’22, Elliot Tran MPA ’22, Nicholas Venezia MPA-ESP ’22, and Kevin Vu MPA-DP ’22.

They are joined by alumni Elizabeth Anderson MIA ’21, Hansol Chung MIA ’21, Yvette Deane MIA ’21, Sanskruti Majmudar MIA ’21, Paul Schaffner MIA ’21, Ariana Schrier MIA ’21, and Alexander Schulz MIA ’21, and Hui Cao MPA ’20.

The selectees represent four of the six MIA-MPA concentrations as well as the MPA-DP and MPA-ESP programs.

As in previous years, SIPA excelled in the assessment process. The School's affiliates comprise about 64 percent of the 39 PMF finalists selected from Columbia University.

The prestigious management program, which is overseen by the federal Office of Personnel Management, received 8,065 applications overall. The 1,100 finalists nationwide represent about 13.6 percent of applicants. All told, the 2022 PMF Finalists represent 99 different academic disciplines and 299 academic institutions worldwide. Eight percent are veterans.
