Rose Fadjia Joseph

Rose Fadjia Joseph was born and raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Rose studied Applied Economics in undergrad. Before SIPA, and worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Haiti at the Economic and External Cooperation Division, then I got transferred to the General Consulate of Haiti in New York where she worked as a Vice-Consul until she got admitted to SIPA. Apart from English, Rose speaks Haitian Creole and French. In her spare time, when she is not reading or watching silly cooking shows on Netflix like Nailed it, Rose volunteers in organizations focusing on providing youth enrichment and development programs to underserved communities. Rose previously volunteered at STEM Access for girls and she volunteers at Read Ahead right now. Rose also loves going to museums and she enjoys good conversations around good food and good wine

Rose’s advice to SIPA students:

“Your time at SIPA is such a short time (trust me) and there is so much to do, so much to see but don’t let FOMO get the best of you. You can’t attend all the career events, all the socials, you can’t take all the classes and experience everything all at once, so be very strategic and mindful of your time so you don’t get burned out. And if you have a really hard time deciding what to do and feeling like you are missing out on important things, don’t hesitate to ask for help, there is an entire community rooting for you to succeed so take advantage of it.”
