New Energy Center Hosts Policy Event in London

On Thursday, June 6, the Center on Global Energy Policy hosted an international energy policy conference in London at the historic Simpson's-in-the-Strand.

The distinguished lineup of speakers included Rt Hon Michael Fallon MP, minister of state for energy at the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change; Christof Rühl, group chief economist at BP; Michael Liebreich, chief executive of Bloomberg New Energy Finance; Nobuo Tanaka, former executive director of the International Energy Agency and a non-resident fellow at the Center; David Hobbs, head of research at the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center; David Sandalow, former under secretary of energy (acting) and assistant secretary for policy and international affairs at the U.S. Department of Energy and the inaugural Center fellow; Nick Butler, visiting fellow and chair of King's Policy Institute at King's College London; and Javier Blas, commodities editor at the Financial Times.
