Do Investment Disputes in Latin America have a Negative Effect on Economic and Investment Prospects or Fiscal Performance?

Moody's Investors Service is a leading provider of credit ratings, research, and risk analysis. The Capstone team will explore investment disputes with Sovereigns and the fiscal and economic impact of these disputes. The team will look at the ICSID (International Centre for the Settlement of Investment Disputes) database to get a sense of the volume of investment disputes against LatAm sovereigns, amounts, what sectors of the economy the disputes are in, how this compares with other regions and whether there has been a negative effect on economic and investment prospects or fiscal performance.
