Personal Details

Thierry Verheije has over 15 years of experience in digital transformation and the digital economy, with more than a decade devoted to management consulting. His comprehensive knowledge and skills span areas like artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, crypto, cybersecurity, digital governance and diplomacy, fintech, and the Internet of Things. Throughout his professional career, he has worked closely with C-suite executives from Fortune 500 companies and played a key role in nurturing cooperative relationships within the global digital economy. He has proactively engaged with multiple intergovernmental and supranational institutions, including the EU, G20, IMF, OECD, UN, WEF, and the World Bank Group. His professional assignments have taken him across continents, with projects in Africa, Asia, the Americas, and Europe.

During his tenure at the World Bank, Thierry assumed significant roles as a lead digital transformation consultant in several offices, including those of the CEO, the Managing Director of Operations, the Global Director of Knowledge Management, and the Vice-President of Development Finance. Prior to this, he served as a management consultant in digital transformation for organizations such as IBM, the United Nations, and the European Union Education Foundation.

Thierry's academic credentials include a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor of International Business Administration from Canterbury Christ Church University. He also holds several professional certifications focused on project management, business process improvement, design and innovation, quality management, and coaching.
