Scarlett Swerdlow is a Lecturer and co-instructs Computing in Public Policy. She is an Applied Data Science Manager at Civis Analytics, where she leads as a team of applied data scientists who think computationally about problems and apply data science methods to help nonprofit organizations and state and local governments make better decisions. Prior to joining Civis, Scarlett spent ten years in the nonprofit sector. Scarlett holds a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy and a Bachelor’s from the University of California at Berkeley.
