Personal Details

Samuel Byrne is Vice President of Operations for Power and Renewables at Equinor. In this role, he is deeply engaged in the development and asset management of new generation in the United States. He is also President of the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal, a redeveloped port in New York City that now serves primarily as a staging area for offshore wind projects.

Samuel has experience working on energy projects around the world. Prior to Equinor, he worked for Vestas Wind Systems as Vice President of the Service Business Division for Asia Pacific and held multiple leadership roles for Vestas in Denmark. Before joining Vestas, Samuel worked for McKinsey & Company as a consultant in Houston, Texas, and served as a United States Peace Corps volunteer in Mozambique.

Samuel earned a B.A. from Yale University and an M.A. from Johns Hopkins University.
