Personal Details
R. Daniel (Danny) Bressler is a Sustainable Development PhD Candidate. His research interests include climate change economics and global risks and global cooperation, especially nuclear proliferation, biosecurity, and war. From 2021-2022 he was Climate Staff Economist at the White House Council of Economic Advisors. He is also a Global Priorities Fellow with the Forethought Foundation and a Nuclear Scholar at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS).
Before the PhD, he worked for the Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness at Harvard Business School, as a management consultant for Altman Vilandrie & Company, and he held internships at Goldman Sachs and The Onion (America’s Finest News Source). Outside of research, Danny enjoys jazz and competitive stair climbing.
