Personal Details
Maya (she/her) is a sixth year PhD student in Sustainable Development. She researches how U.S. public institutions shape/are shaped by natural resource use and the environment.
She received a B.A. from Bowdoin College in 2017 where she majored in Economics. Prior to starting at Columbia, she spent two years as a research assistant at the Climate Impact Lab -- a team of interdisciplinary researchers that aim to quantify and project the impacts of climate change across the world.
