Maya Norman
PhD Student
Personal Details
Maya (she/her) is a fourth year PhD student in Sustainable Development. Her interests lie at the intersection of environmental economics, labor economics and industrial ecology. At the moment, she wants to know more about the waste stream's role as a social safety net.
She received a B.A. from Bowdoin College in 2017 where she majored in Economics. Prior to starting at Columbia, she spent two years as a research assistant at the Climate Impact Lab -- a team of interdisciplinary researchers that aim to quantify and project the impacts of climate change across the world.
