Lynn Thoman is a professor at Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and the host of 3 Takeaways™ a top 1% global podcast listened to in more than 190 countries and territories. 

At Columbia, she teaches about global public-private partnerships. She draws on years of experience in business, non-profits, and government. As a Vice President at American Express, she led international marketing strategy for all countries outside the United States and helped restructure businesses across Europe and Asia. She has also served on federal advisory committees, including the Secretary of Transportation’s Advisory Committee on Human Trafficking.

She previously served on the board of Harvard Medical School and as co-chair of the advisory council of Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs.

She holds a BA from Princeton and an MBA from Harvard Business School and has lived in China.
