Kristina Eberbach is the Director of Education at Columbia University’s Institute for the Study of Human Rights. Its education initiatives include a Human Rights Studies M.A. program, an undergraduate major and concentration, a summer program, the Human Rights Training Series, and the University Human Rights Education in Myanmar project. She has developed and facilitated human rights courses and workshops for members of civil society and government officials in Canada, Colombia, Iraq, Myanmar, and the U.S. and has undertaken research, reporting, and advocacy work in Kenya, The Netherlands, South Africa, Uganda, and the United States. She is currently a member of the executive and steering committees for Human Rights Educators USA and a co-founder and steering committee member of the University and College Consortium for Human Rights Education. Kristina has a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
