Jonah Fisher

Jonah Fisher is the senior director of the Millennium Leadership Program at the Atlantic Council. The Millennium Leadership Program trains and connects the next generation of foreign policy leaders across the globe spanning the spheres of business, government, and civil society. In this role, Fisher oversees the Atlantic Council’s flagship Millennium Fellowship, the Council’s Young Global Professionals network, and the Climate Leaders Program.

Prior to his work at the Atlantic Council, Jonah was the founding director of GATHER, Seeds of Peace’s social innovation arm. Motivated by the belief that the world’s most intractable conflicts demand the most creative solutions, Fisher convened and coached entrepreneurs, educators, activists, and artists from across a wide swath of global conflict zones.

Jonah was previously the chief executive officer and founder of FLO, a coworking company serving social entrepreneurs in Tel Aviv, Israel. In Tel Aviv, Fisher also served as the director of training and leadership at one of Israel’s leading think tanks, the Reut Institute. Beyond his work on leadership at the Reut Institute, Jonah supported municipal and regional economic development efforts across Israel.

Fisher has coached and consulted entrepreneurs and companies from across the globe including the climate-finance team at the Hewlett Foundation and the social innovation team at Kaiser Permanente. Jonah got his start in the field of social entrepreneurship while a student at Brown University where he was involved in founding the Interfaith Exchange, an interfaith service-learning program, and the Capital Good Fund, Rhode Island’s first micro-finance organization.

Jonah’s roots are spread across New York, Jerusalem, and Budapest. He now lives in Northern Virginia with his wife Rabbi Viktoria Bedő and his children Laila and Lev.
