Personal Details
Isabella (she/her) is a sixth-year PhD student working at the intersection of machine learning and climate adaptation. She is interested in how novel technical approaches and large-scale datasets like satellite imagery can be used to reduce the environmental and economic damages of climate change, with a primary focus on agriculture in the US and Sub-Saharan Africa. Methodological interests include deep learning, interpretable AI, and remote sensing.
Isabella holds a B.S. in Computer Science and an M.S. in Earth Systems from Stanford University. She previously worked as a software engineer focused on geospatial data analytics, and has consulted on projects for the World Bank and in the private sector. Isabella is on the market for industry and public-sector roles to begin around early 2025.
