Personal Details

Eugene is a fifth year student in the Sustainable Development Program. He is studying topics related to energy and climate systems, international trade and transport, and economic growth. He previously worked at the World Bank and at a startup as a data scientist, and at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace on the intersection between foreign policy and energy-climate issues. 

He is a fourth year in the Sustainable Development PhD program, holds a MeSc from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies and a BA from Colorado College. He is from just outside Kuala Lumpur, and has lived in Hong Kong, London, Colorado Springs, Washington DC, New Haven and New York. He trains in weightlifting, and also bikes and hikes for sport. He enjoys viewing art, watching rugby, cooking food, and has travelled to nearly 50 countries.
