Biography

Debora Cahn is the creator and showrunner of Netflix’s new series The Diplomat.  She wrote and produced series including Homeland, Vinyl, Grey’s Anatomy, and The West Wing. She was a writer/producer on FX’s Fosse/Verdon, for which she won a Writers Guild of America award. She wrote the HBO film Paterno, starring Al Pacino. She was part of the writing staff that won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series for The West Wing in 2003 and nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Drama Series for The West Wing in 2006 and Grey's Anatomy in 2007. She won the Writers Guild of America Award for The West Wing episode "The Supremes."
