Ashmi Jha ’28 is an MIA student at Columbia SIPA concentrating in Technology Policy and Innovation. Before SIPA, she studied Business Administration in Japan and worked across AI, digital health, and entrepreneurship, including co-founding ElderCare Connect, an AI-enabled caregiving initiative for older adults. Having studied and worked across countries, Ashmi is especially interested in AI governance, emerging technology, and the question of not just what technology can do, but what it should do. Outside class, she is usually doing competitions or juggling too many ideas and pretending that having 27 tabs open is a productivity system.
