Alex Navarro-McKay (he/him) is a veteran political consultant and communications strategist. He has helped hundreds of candidates win elections, and advised advocacy groups on achieving their public affairs goals.

From 2008 to 2022, Alex created and led the political consulting practice at BerlinRosen, a leading strategic communications and consulting firm, as Managing Director. At BerlinRosen, Alex and his team developed strategy and created ads to help Democratic candidates at all levels – from local to presidential – win hundreds of elections in scores of states. Alex is also well-regarded for his expertise at preparing for debates, editorial boards and speeches.

Prior to BerlinRosen, he worked on numerous local, state and federal campaigns, advanced progressive issue campaigns, served on the staff of the New York City Council and was associated with a leading Democratic polling firm.

He has been recognized as one of New York’s top political consultants numerous times by City & State; and has won dozens of Pollie Awards, given by the American Association of Political Consultants, for political ads.

Alex began serving as an Instructor of Public Policy and Administration at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs in 2023. He has led dozens of trainings and workshops on the hard and soft skills of political campaigns and communications strategy.

Alex received a J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 1993, and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Government from Wesleyan University in 1990.
