All the things I want to do before I leave SIPA: My SIPA Bucket List

I cannot believe it is my last semester here! If I could stay a student forever, I would. I know that sounds wild to some people- or maybe you can relate! I love learning, whether through traditional academia or listening to my peers' stories. Although I know that learning is an activity you can pursue in any phase of your life, it really will be a difficult transition for me to leave the school environment. I came straight from undergrad and have been in the university environment for almost six years!

Rather than wallow in my sadness, I am choosing to save the grieving of this time for later. Instead, I want to share with you all my SIPA journey bucket list for my final semester!

My Final Semester SIPA Bucket List:

  1. NYC Tip to Toe Graduation Walk
    1. I have actually already walked from 125th to Houston for a friend’s birthday! I want to do it again in my robes with my SIPA friends, too!
  2. Host a dinner party for the diplomatic fellows
  3. Volunteer with New York Cares
  4. Complete soup kitchen list! I have a list of about 20 soup kitchens that I want to volunteer at by May!
  5. Jump into the sundial fountain
  6. Slide down the fire pole at the firestation on 113th
    1. I have wanted to slide down a fire pole for months. I almost got the firestation to say yes this past fall. Alas, I persevere.
  7. Attend an event at the business school and law school
  8. Celebrate bacchanal
  9. Attend at least three Lincoln center events (I am constantly at the Lincoln center, and bought my tickets for three shows this Spring on pay as you can day!)
  10. Do the Ivy League pub crawl
  11. Watch the Orgo night performance
  12. Host a goodbye party
  13. Have a picnic alone on main campus and journal
  14. Host painting on the lawn one last time
    1. I started painting my first semester on the lawn, and found that little kids would come up to me to paint! Their parents would get a break, and I would have a great time. I want to do this one last time in the Spring.
  15. Walk a marathon
    1. I am not a runner. I am, however, a lifter who loves to walk. I will literally walk anywhere. My friend and I have plans to walk a marathon in 24 hours this April.
  16. Write thank you notes for all the people who have made this experience so sweet

It has been the greatest joy of my life to pursue an education.
