Upcoming External Fellowship Deadlines

The SIPA Financial Aid Office maintains a database of external funding opportunities, and we wanted to alert students to some with upcoming application deadlines. For more external scholarship awards, go to our External Fellowships and Funding Sources page.

Please be aware that some organizations may have changed policies for this upcoming year. We check regularly to keep our listing up to date, but would appreciate feedback if you come across an outdated posting.

  • Lint Center for National Security Scholarships
    Requirements:
    This program is offered to help further the education and career development of scholars, especially in the areas of International Affairs, Counterintelligence and National Security.  Workers in these fields and their children are  encouraged to apply with the goal of improving national security and global understanding.
    Deadline: January 31, 2021

  • Straus Historical Society Scholarship
    Requirements:
    The goal is to help support the continuing education of a student or students whose professional goal is in the field of public service.
    Deadline: January 31, 2021

  • Kappa Kappa Gamma Foundation Scholarships
    Requirements:
    Kappa Kappa Gamma offers scholarships up to $3,000 and are awarded to members for the academic year.
    Deadline: February 1, 2021

  • Roothbert Fund, Inc.
    Requirements:
    Roothbert Fund scholarships are open to all in the United States regardless of sex, age, color, nationality or religious background. While the Fund does not emphasize any particular form of religious practice or worship, it seeks to provide support to persons motivated by spiritual values.
    Deadline: February 1, 2021

  • Hispanic Scholarship Fund
    Requirements
    : Must be of Hispanic heritage and U.S. citizen, permanent legal resident, or DACA. Minimum of 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and plan to enroll full-time in an accredited graduate school, in the US, for the 2021-2022 academic year.  Submit the FAFSA (if applicable).
    Deadline: February 15, 2021

  • Japanese American Association of New York Honjo Scholarship
    Requirements:
    Full-time graduate students enrolled at an accredited university in the New York area. The awardees are interested and involved in furthering U.S.-Japan Relations.
    Deadline: February 16, 2021
