Upcoming Events with SIPA Admissions
Over the last few months, I’ve been inspired to approach the recruitment season more creatively. With travel restrictions still in place, I wondered how I can still reach prospective students from the confinement of my living room. However, SIPA is not alone in this matter. Many institutions are conducting all their recruitment efforts online.
Recruiting online has proven to be quite advantageous. With this increased flexibility, we have been able to implement a new series of alumni panels. Our conversations have been impactful and inspiring. Alums address their educational and professional trajectories, while recalling how SIPA served as a pillar for their success. Our next one is on Nov. 10th: Prospective Students and Allies of the LGBTQI+ Community.
In addition to alumni panels, we are also hosting a mini lecture series with our esteemed faculty members. If you haven’t attended one yet, what are you waiting for? Our professors are bringing their zeal and compelling lecture topics into a dynamic virtual classroom each week. Check out our schedule below, and register for as many as you’d like:
- Suresh Naidu: Global Inequality
Friday, November 6 at 10:00 AM - Daniel Naujoks: International Organizations & Global Migration Governance
Wednesday, November 11 at 9:00 AM - Ester Fuchs: Urban Politics and Policy
Friday, November 13 at 10:00 AM - Glenn Denning: The Global Food System and Sustainable Development
Friday, November 20 at 8:00 AM - Joann Baney: Interpersonal Communication Skills
Friday, November 20 at 12:00 PM - Jason Healey: Understanding Cyber Conflict
Friday, December 4 at 10:00 AM - Sarah Holloway: Social Innovation and How Interdisciplinary Teams Can Solve Problems
Friday, December 11 at 10:00 AM - Richard Robb: Stop Trading on Robinhood Before You Lose All Your Money!
Friday, December 18 at 10:00 AM
If you’re in the process of applying, consider attending an applicant-focused Q&A session. Each week, an Admissions officer and student ambassador will be addressing questions regarding the application process, student life, and so much more.
Not sure where to start? Attend a virtual information session to get more information on SIPA and what we have to offer. We’re looking forward to staying connected with you!
