January 5th deadline reminder

The fellowship consideration deadline for the MIA, MPA, and MPA-DP programs is tomorrow! SIPA does have a February 5th final deadline as well, which will just be for admissions consideration. I've posted a couple of recent post roundups that may be helpful if you're finishing up the application. Although we're just past the holidays, Columbia University and SIPA is staying busy:

• In just a few days, Orientation for our incoming spring MIA, MPA and MPA-DP students start. Welcome to SIPA, J-termers and the first of the Class of 2023!
• The first day of class is January 11. We'll be a little quiet until most of our community returns, virtually and in-person. Similar to the fall, SIPA is doing a hybrid semester this spring, meaning we offer all classes virtually while also holding a number in-person on campus.
• If you will be on campus, Columbia has a set of COVID-19 resources and policies kept updated here. If you will be on campus, you do have to be up-to-date with your immunizations, wear a mask, and socially distance. Testing is also available on campus for the Columbia community, which I can attest is fast and easy. Unfortunately we do not know how the fall 2021 semester will look, as it depends greatly on external variables.
