The Heinrich Böll Foundation is closely affiliated with the German Green Party and maintains a worldwide network with 30 international offices. The Foundation grants scholarships to approximately 1200 students of all subjects and nationalities. Applicants are expected to have academic excellence, be socially and politically engaged, and to have an active interest in the basic values of the Foundation: ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self-determination and justice. Funding for higher education for Danish citizens. Every Dane over the age of 18 is entitled to public support for his or her further education - regardless of social standing. Support for students' living costs is awarded by the State Educational Grant and Loan Scheme, a system managed by the Danish Educational Support Agency (Styrelsen for Statens Uddannelsesstøtte) in collaboration with the educational institutions and under the auspices of the Danish Ministry of Education.
