IAB Bulletin Board Policy

Bulletin boards are available in the International Affairs Building (IAB) for notices related to Columbia community events, student organizations, and other opportunities open to the student body. The sponsoring group should remove their posters when they have ended or are no longer valid. There is a limit of one posting per event, per bulletin board. Additional postings, or postings that do not follow Columbia Community Standards, will be removed without notice. Some bulletin boards are exclusively operated by the SIPA Office of Student Affairs and will be marked as such.

There is no authorization necessary for posting on IAB bulletin boards - however, we ask that you adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Post only on bulletin boards or spaces designated for posting signs. Posting is not permitted on walls, doors or windows.
  • Post only Columbia community events, student organizations, and other opportunities open to the student body as indicated on the board.
  • Remove all flyers after your event has taken place.
  • Use tacks only. Staples and tape are not permitted.
  • Do not remove or cover up another flyer to accommodate your own.
  • No destruction, alteration, or defacing of posters.
