In Memoriam: SIPA Alumna Paola Roldán MIA '09

Paola Roldán MIA '09 passed away in March 2024 after a heroic battle with ALS. Paola was a global champion of human and environmental rights, and her public advocacy gained momentum as she engaged in a national conversation about euthanasia in Ecuador. To honor Paola's work and dedication, her SIPA classmates established a fellowship fund in her memory. The Changemaker Fellowship provides support to SIPA students who have lived, worked, or studied in developing nations and who have demonstrably contributed to building a more supportive, compassionate, loving and collaborative world to protect the most vulnerable.
