In 1979, when a legacy from Swiss businessman Andrew Pellegrini provided the first funds for the former Pellegrini scholarship, the Swiss Benevolent Society of New York started to award scholarships and grants for education above the high school level. Since then, the various scholarships and grants have made a tremendous difference in the lives of many Swiss-American students and their families.

Their scholarship programs include:

  • SBS Merit Scholarship
  • SBS Outstanding Scholastic Achievement (OSA) Award
  • SBS Graduate Award
  • Medicus Student Exchange Scholarship
