The HFLS Graduate Student Loan program is currently suspended indefinitely, and HFLS unfortunately cannot accept applications from new borrowers at this time.

The Hebrew Free Loan Society administers three scholarship programs for the UJA-Federation of New York. This program provides approximately $1 million to students with financial need, primarily in the New York City metropolitan area.

  • The UJA-Federation of NY Rose Biller Scholarship Fund is open to Jewish residents of NYC’s five boroughs, Westchester, and Long Island with financial need. It provides scholarships to Jewish men and women with significant economic need attending undergraduate, graduate, and professional schools.
  • The UJA-Federation of NY Jean and Albert Nerken Scholarship Fund is open to international students studying in NYC’s five boroughs, Westchester, or Long Island.
