Roberto is a first-year student in the Sustainable Development PhD program. He is interested in Energy and Environmental Economics, particularly in the role and interplay of regulation, economic policy and technology in shaping the energy transition.

Roberto holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, and B.S. and M.S. degrees in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique, France. Before joining Columbia, he worked at the Central Bank of Chile on macroeconomic modeling and policy analysis.
