Originally from Florida, Amelia Cheatham is a first-year MIA candidate studying International Security Policy and International Conflict Resolution. She holds a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University. Prior to SIPA, she researched and wrote about Latin America and immigration for a foreign policy think tank. Passionate about the intersections of health and conflict, she serves as the treasurer of SIPA’s Women in Peace and Security club. She also works for a law firm on an anti-trust investigation.
