Alanoud Hamad (she/her/hers) is a MIA '22 candidate concentrating in Human Rights and Humanitarian Policy, and specializing in UN Studies. Born in the U.A.E., and raised in southern California, Alanoud obtained her B.S. in Neuroscience and Cell Biology from the University of California Riverside. Prior to SIPA, Alanoud received a Master of Science in Global Medicine Management from the University of Southern California and worked as a medical missions coordinator for a non-profit. She also interned for Vital Strategies Public Health Organization and worked on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Her professional interests are focused on UN Humanitarian Coordination, women's rights in the MENA region, program management, and youth engagement in humanitarian emergencies.
